My name is Sarah Salmons and I am currently a
ballet and pointe teacher at CoPA. I have been teaching for
over 23 years and still love it ! I am a classically trained
dancer, having danced since the age of two and being lucky
enough to dance with The Richmond Ballet, a professional
ballet company, for eleven years.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education
from Meredith College, and I have taught Theatre Arts as
well as dance in the public school system.
Since first starting at CoPA in 1991, I have taught many
students lyrical, jazz, ballet, and pointe, as well as,
having started ballet companies and co-directing a musical
theatre group. Choreography is my love, and I love to
choreograph classical ballet as well as lyrical and
liturgical pieces.
In my past, I have also taught in Greensboro
and managed a studio in High Point, where there was an
emphasis on competition, but I am glad to be back at CoPA
where I feel most at home. |
