The Centre of Performing Arts
first opened in Alamance County as the Eloise Glass Dance
Studio in the early 1950's. Through the years we have grown
from a one room studio to our present five dance rooms and
dancewear shop. We offer the finest in quality dance
instruction. Easy interstate access provides a convenient
location for everyone in Alamance and surrounding counties.

Classes for beginner students from 1½
year olds through adults provide a foundation for progress
to advanced levels in many areas of dance, and we are always
open to suggestions for new classes to meet the needs of our
growing "family". Students can improve their dance skills by
working toward acceptance into a variety of audition groups
or the apprenticeship program for older students. Through staff and student
involvement, the Centre is active in Dance Masters of America. DMA
is a leading national organization of dance educators and offers
many opportunities for growth, for both students and staff.
