COPA Open House, July 25 from 2-5!
Register for fall classes, see studio, and
meet some of the teachers...
Lots of fun activities to
participate in!
Hello COPA Families!!
We are very excited this year to have our first open house
at COPA on Sunday, July 25 from 2-5. We are planing on lots
of activities and you will be able to register there as
well. You do not have to wait to register if you would like
to call the studio starting next week, July 5. We are almost
finished with the fall schedule and are finalizing a few
things. There will be fun incentives for coming to the open
house for returning students to include 3 months of free
dance for one student by putting your name in a hat for a
drawing, but you must be there to win. You cannot put your
name in there if you are not participating that day. We will
have some entertainment also. The first 20 new student
enrollments will receive a COPA dance bag. Fall classes
begin August 16. You will be able to go to the website next
week and pull up the new forms for 2010-2011 to include the
policy statement, medical forms, payment forms and tuition.
Please bring the appropriate forms that day.
You will be able to purchase dance shoes, dancewear, and do
all of those things ahead of time that makes that first week
of class hectic. Please come and join the fun! And spread
the word to your friends and families that are new
enrollment students.
Remember that as of last year as stated in the policy, the
returning students will receive a 10.00 registration fee if
they have not re-enrolled by August 1st. There are lots of
reasons for this to include the more work that is involved
when we have to add classes due to staff not knowing whom is
coming, the work involved with canceling classes, and the
last minute craziness that goes along with that. We would
also like for COPA families to please think about your
choices of classes before you have completed your enrollment
due to the increased work that involves drop and adding
classes. The dance manager system is great, but it takes
lots of time to drop and add classes for students and we
would like to spend our energy with the classes and
continued growth at the studio.
Please also note that due to the posting of the accounts and
changing accounts with drop adds, etc, we will not send you
a statement until the end of September. Once we post the
accounts for the tuition by total hours, it is with great
difficulty to go back and change tuition, etc if classes are
wrong, or people drop /add. So, when you enroll, please talk
to staff about your tuition charge for the month of August
and September which will be due by the first week of
classes. Then, you will receive an itemized statement at the
end of September for October. This will again help us
greatly. But please realize that you will be responsible for
paying your monthly tuition even without a statement. It is
a good idea to jot down the tuition charge so that you will
remember.
We are very excited about all of our progress and growth
this year. And our summer enrollment is up from the past
years, and we hope that the fall will be the same as well.
Please wait to call the studio next week of fall classes and
also note that we do not accept fall registration by email.
COPA wishes Blair Foust, Good Luck next week, as she travels
to San Antonio for nationals. She is Miss Teen Dance of NC
and will be competing for the National Title of Miss Dance
fo America. Go Blair!
We look forward to seeing you on July 25!
Thanks for being a part of the COPA Family!
